Employment History

  • 2004 – Present day
    In December 2004 I joined the Italian national team Sinapsi. Sinapsi were placed 4th at the world championships in Croatia 2004. I speak Italian and have been an occasional resident in Italy over the past 10 years. This team is in training for the world championships in 2006, we won the Italian nationals in July 2005.
    I have also been a player coach on another team based in the USA, with whom I will be competing at the US nationals in California in September.

  • 2003 – 2004
    Since 2003 I have been working as a self employed and contracted coach to a number of teams. I have been based at Skydive Deland, Florida.

  • 1996 – 2003
    Since 1996 I have been training as a member of the British Skydiving team. This was 8-10 month per year activity, sponsored by The British Sports Foundation and The British Parachute Association. The team made 800 training jumps per year. The team trained for the World Championships in France, September 2003. The team trains at Skydive Sebastian in Florida and competes in the Florida Skydiving league as well as National Skydiving League events.
    During the summer months I returned to Europe to act as a coach for other skydiving teams. Over the past 7 years I have coached national teams from Norway, Sweden, England, Italy, Germany and from 2001 – 2004 I was the national coach for the Danish Squad.

  • 1990 – 1995
    I operated a parachute school that took English skydivers to the south of France and Spain, training them in a preferable climate than was available at home.
    In 1991 the South African Parachute Association hosted me to initiate and train their instructors for the ‘Accelerated Free Fall’ program in their country,
    In 1992 – 3, I ran a series of seminars in Italy for the Italian Parachute Federation, disseminating safety information and coaching existing instructors in advanced techniques.

  • 1987 – 1990
    Operated the UK’s 1st ‘Accelerated Free Fall’ school at Headcorn Airfield, Kent.
Family: Partner of 11 years, two daughters.

  • Attended every World Championship from 1985 – 2003.
  • Highest placing at a World Meet: 1989 – 4th, 1999 – 4th, 2001 – 4th, 2003 - 4th.
  • 3rd place at 1st Eastern European Cup 1991
  • 3rd place at European Cup 1996
  • 4th place at World Games in Lahti, Finland 1997
  • 4th place at World Games in Akita, Japan 2001
