Joey Jones, President of Flite Solutions, is a veteran of the USMC. He has been skydiving for 18 years, of which 14 years has been full time. Joey has taken a break from competition to devote his full attention to Flite Solutions. His current working philosophy and goal is to insure that our elite military units receive the best possible support for their parachute training.

  • 1988 Graduated High School, joined the Marine Corps
  • 1989 Made first civilian jump while stationed with the Marine Corps, TDY at Ft. Sill, Oklahoma.
  • 1990 250 jumps- Attended military static line jump schoool
  • 1991 300 jumps- Discharded from active duty
  • 1991 300 jumps- Rigger certificate
  • 1991- 400 jumps- AFF inst rating
  • 1992 500 jumps- Tandem rating
  • 1992 1000 jumps- Started skydiving full time
  • 1993-95 2000 jumps- Chief Instructor Skydive AZ
  • 1995 2500 jumps- First 4-way team Eloy FX, 4th place U.S. Nationals
  • 1996 3000 jumps- Sebastian FX, 3rd Place US Nationals
  • 1997 4000 jumps- Coaching and building new team
  • 1998 5000 jumps- Space Center FX, 19.7 2nd place 4-way U.S. Nationals, 1st place 20-way U.S. Nationals, World Cup Champion. Coached Brazillian National Team
  • 1999 6000 jumps- Space Center FX, 3rd Place 4-way, 2nd place 16-way at U.S. Nationals, Organized Columbian National large formation skydiving record, coached Swiss National Skydiving Team.
  • 2000 7300 jumps- FX 2nd place, U.S. Nationals, 2nd place 16-way,
  • 2001 8500 jumps- 1st place Daytona 5000 Swooping competition, 1st place Carribean Challenge meet, 3rd place 10-way, 1st place 16-way. Coached US Womens National Skydiving Team to a World Meet Gold medal. Plane captain for World Record large formation 300-way.
  • 2002 9700 jumps-Deland Majik 3rd place 4-way, 3rd place 8-way, 3rd place 10-way, 1st 16- way at US Nationals. World Cup Champoin 4-way, World Cup Bronze 8-way.
  • 2003 10,500 jumps- Deland Majik 1st place 4-way, 1st place 16-way, 3rd place 8-way, 1st 10- way at U.S. Nationals. Overall Champion of the combined freefall events at US Nationals. Malevsky World Cup Champion. Coached US Women, and Belgian, and Canadian National teams.
  • 2004 11,000 jumps- Started Flite Solutions and brought the entire US National team to support the training of Spec Op Parachutists
  • 2004 11,500 jumps-Deland Majik 1st place 4-way, 2st place 16-way, 1st 10-way, overall Champion of the combined freefall events. Malevsky World Cup 4-way Champion, World Meet Champion. Coached Canadian National team.
  • 2005 12,000 jumps-Captian Black Magick, the first "back fly" in a 4-way competition team, 1st place 8-way, 1st place 16-way, 2nd 10-way, overall champion of the combined freefall events. Malevsky World Cup Silver medal 8-way, Malevsky World Cup Bronze medal 4- way.
  • 2006 12,000 jumps- Working full time to bring the best possible training to elite military units around the world. Coaching the US Team at the 2006 Malevsky World cup. Organizing Back fly world record large formation.
  • 2007 Nationals Champion in 8-way(alternate), 10-way, and 16-way. 1 of 5 awarded overall champion of the combined freefall events.
  • 2008 14000 jumps. Coached Belgian National Team v(3rd place finish at the World Championships) and Swedish National Team.
